The 1934 Goudey collection was considerably downsized from the previous year's 239 cards to just 96, but still presents some of the final cards of several stars and Hall of Famers issued during their playing days, Lou Gehrig (twice-featured) and Dizzy Dean foremost among them, as nationally distributed baseball cards would all but vanish from American culture for the remainder of the decade. Also included in the set are key issues of Hank Greenberg and Jimmie Foxx as well as fourteen additional Hall of Famers. This collection is complete with a #2 Cochrane SGC 40 VG 3 and 37 Gehrig PSA 5 (MK). The set is 5% VG/EX or better, 30% VG, 45% GOOD, and 20% lower with #1 Foxx FAIR, 6 Dean FAIR, 7 Durocher GOOD, 11 P. Waner VG, 12 Hubbell FAIR, 19 Grove FAIR, 35 Lombardi VG, 61 Gehrig FAIR, 62 Greenberg VG/EX (OC), 90 Cuyler FAIR, 91 Camilli GOOD, and 96 Deshong GOOD. Included is an original 1934 Goudey wrapper, FAIR to GOOD overall.
