Though he made his cardboard debut in 1948 with Leaf and 1949 with Bowman, Satchel Paige was mysteriously absent from the baseball card world before resurfacing in the 1953 Topps series. Recently graded by PSA, this card has accurate centering and corners that are probably technically accurate but appear sharper to the naked eye. The image is crisp and clean with a problem free reverse. We've never seen an example in this grade that is as attractive as this.
