Celebrities often disguise themselves and use fake names when checking into hotels, but back in 1938, there really wasn't anywhere Babe Ruth could hide. This cut from a hotel registry has a wonderful signature of "The Sultan of Swat" as the first and only name on the page, adding a simple "New York City" in his own hand as his address. The various signatures on the reverse are dated, placing them as having been penned in late in 1938, and one of the more unique qualities of the clean Babe Ruth autograph is the curved line underneath, a trait "The Babe" was not known for when signing a photo or an autographed ball. A very unique piece that captures a moment in time when Babe Ruth was just another hotel guest. Authenticated and slabbed by PSA/DNA.
