Roger Maris captured the hearts of America in the summer of 1961, in the last game of the season Maris hit Home Run #61 eclipsing the great Babe Ruth's single-season Home Run record. He captured back-to-back A.L. MVP Awards in 1960 and 61. Maris finished his distinguished career as a 7X All-Star and 3 time World Series Champion.
