Cuban-born twirler Connie Marrero took the mound for five seasons with the Washington Senators, earning an All-Star appearance in 1951, the year of this card's issue by the Bowman Gum Company. This stellar example has been graded MINT 9 by the overseers at PSA, earning the exalted designation by virtue of near-perfect centering, extremely sharp corners, and a clearly defined image set against a pleasing backdrop of appealing pastel pigments. Only two examples have graded higher at PSA, meaning this one will create an automatic upgrade for nearly any set on the registry. An absolute blazer deserving placement in any world-class collection!
