Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA with a mere six examples graded higher, the offered 1953 Topps Hoyt Wilhelm card features above-grade corners at the top with just a very light touch to the delicate lower right endpoint. The image of the Hall of Fame knuckleballer is deeply saturated with no signs of fading over the years, and there is a noticeable lack of stray print in the backdrop and in the borders. A light factory rough cut can be seen on the ride edge, and the delicate black bottom border shows little to no evidence of handling or chipping. A very solid addition to any high-grade 1953 Topps set.
