A living testimonial of the American spirit in overcoming adversity, diminutive Boston College quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie enjoyed a storybook career despite critics claiming he was too small to ever be effective on the professional level. Lightly regarded because of his 5'10" frame, Flutie opted to join the New Jersey Generals of the USFL, starting a 20-year career that would lead to stardom in the Canadian Football League, thirteen seasons in the NFL, and finishing with the first drop-kick in almost 70 years! Offered is this extremely rare, game-used 1985 Doug Flutie jersey from his only season with the New Jersey Generals. This historic jersey is appropriately labeled "Champion size M" with "+4 extra length" tag on front left tail. Screen printed numbers are present on front, back, and sleeves, with letters "FLUTIE" ironed on to tackle twill stitched nameplate. LOA from Mile High Card Co.
