While the 1970 New York Yankees' 93-69 left them well short of reaching the playoffs, they were able to take solace in the fact that they had found a full-time catcher and team leader in Thurman Munson, the first player named Yankee Captain since Lou Gehrig. The offered team-signed Yankees ball contains a virtually perfect penning of Munson along with 22 other members of the 1970 Yankees. Other signatures include: Hamilton, Kekich, Klimkowski, Bahnsen, Blefary, Woods, Cumberland, Hansen, Gibbs, Waslewski, Peterson, Ward, Michael, Clarke, Aker, White, Kenney, and McDaniel, with Stottlemyre and Murcer sharing the sweet spot. LOA from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
