Finishing one game out for the National League championship thanks to Bobby Thomson, it was probably a disappointed Brooklyner who first waved this banner at Ebbets Field in 1951. After all, a 13-game lead in August is supposed to hold up! At any rate, this pennant is from that infamous 1951 season (the only year Terwilleger was with the Dodgers) and shows some color fading from its 60+ years of age but is in excellent condition overall. A fantastic piece of baseball history!
