Carrying a star-studded lineup that featured Rogers Hornsby, Kiki Cuyler, Hack Wilson and Riggs Stephenson, the 1929 Chicago Cubs made easy work of the National League before bowing to Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics in the World Series. The featured 1929 World Series press pin was issued to Harry Neily, one of the best known sportswriters of his day with the Chicago American. This fabulous relic remains in pristine condition with the gold lettering “Press-1929" and "CHICAGO" on the white enamel and the words "World Series” on red enamel clear and easy to read. In NM condition overall with “Hipp & Coburn Co., Chicago” etched into the back.
