Even among a collection filled with baseball immortals, the presented "dark cap" example of Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson stands as one of the key pieces toward building a legendary collection. The centering favors the right edge but falls within tolerances for the grade and the corners appear in line with the VG/EX assessment as well. The reverse is well-centered with minor blemishes while the front surface has accurate registration and tremendously preserved colors, with deeper blue and green pigments than you usually see at this grade. A fantastic card overall.
