Thirteen years after the slugger had last played in an MLB game and just before he passed away, Babe Ruth made an appearance in the inaugural 1948 Leaf series. The featured keepsake grades VG with a well-focused image and outstanding color, but the real headline here is the fantastic centering, which is often absent on examples several grades higher. For this grade level, it would be hard to do better.
