Offered is an exceedingly rare relic from Mickey Mantle's minor league days, an official score book from the 1951 Kansas City Blues featuring the young "Commerce Comet" right on the cover. Minor League Mantle memorabilia is among the scarcest material in the hobby, and this outstanding piece is unused and in strong EX/MT to NM condition with no major imperfections (no tears, wrinkles, etc.) other than age. Mantle is depicted on the cover with his name along side the names of his teammates, but he is not listed on the roster within, as it is thought that this piece hales from the period just after Mantle was recalled to the Show after his first unsuccessful call-up in April of '51. An outstanding piece not only from Mantle's minor league days but from he RC MLB season as well. No comprehensive Mantle collection is complete without one.
