Presented for bidding is unquestionably one of the defining cards from the decade of the 1950's, Mickey Mantle's true rookie card from the 1951 Bowman issue. Imaged as an 18-year old up and comer, Mantle had been lauded by Casey Stengel as the heir apparent to Joe DiMaggio and was granted the horizontal format to introduce his arrival. Near perfectly centered with deep, bold color, slightly above-grade endpoints and an attractive overall appearance, the PSA grade is VG/EX 4 due to some print lines on the surface. With Mantle rookie cards seeming to increase exponentially in price with each step up the grading ladder, you'd be wise to snap up this specimen with its multitude of above-grade features.
