Offered is an outstanding assemblage of the famed 1952 Denver Bears minor league uniform that is commonly refereed to as the "Strike Zone" uniform which was subsequently banned by the Western Association for use in league games. Offered is an oft-overlooked example of Branch Rickey's genius: a 1952 Denver Bears "Strike Zone" uniform. The Denver Bears were an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Class A Western League team was issued these experimental ensembles during the spring of 1952. With separate hues to mark the location of the strike zone, the uniforms were designed to aid pitchers in their quests for control. The offered uniform is framed spectacularly with an image of the manager in full uniform as well as an autographed ball of the entire 1952 Denver Bears squad, as well as a letter from the Denver Bears to a prospective player (no affiliation) while it isn't possible to see who's jersey it is, the item makes for a wonderful display. (Due to the size and weight of the item additional shipping charges are in order)
