Offered is a stunning and captivating presentation of a nearly (9/10) complete 1958 Bell Brand Potato chips set missing only Johnny Podres for completion. This very scarce and distinctive set featuring Dodgers players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area to commemorate the Dodgers' first season on the West Coast. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with each bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue, making it all the more difficult to assemble a high-grade set. Each of the nine (9) cards offered in this exceptional group are still housed in the cellophane confinements that they were issued in back in 1958! The cards (packs) that are offered almost assuredly never saw the inside of any of Bell Brands products as the featured packs show absolutely no grease spots or product stains at all. The breakdown of the condition is as follows: (Please note the grades referenced are for the cards alone and they will be graded in addition to their untouched status of having never been handled outside of their original cellophane packs) Campanella NM/MT+ to MINT, Cimoli NM/MT, Drysdale NM/MT appearance slight bit of original warping-EX, Gilliam NM/MT to MINT, Hodges NM/MT to MINT, Koufax MINT, Reese NM/MT slight tear in top of cellophane pack, Snider NM/MT+ to MINT exceptionally small tear along the left edge of the pack, Zimmer MINT. An amazing perfectly preserved near complete set of these elusive 1958 Bell Brand Los Angeles Dodgers cards still contained in their original cellophane packs after 56 years! The only question becomes can you possibly keep them in their original form of distribution or will you open them?
