An attractive alternative to the rectangular Topps and Parkhurst sets, York Peanut Butter hockey cards are octagonal in shape, measure about 2 1/2" and are numbered on the white backs with statistics and a bio written in both French and English. The 56-card 1963-64 set features detailed portrait and action shots supported by lively orange, yellow, green, and blue backdrops. As is the case with Topps and Parkhurst sets, all the usual superstars and Hall of Famers are present, with key cards being #1 Tim Horton, 45 Gordie Howe, and the amazingly difficult, unnumbered towel promo card. Presented is the #4 current finest set on the PSA Set Registry with a 8.93 set rating. Consisting of six cards graded PSA 10, including the one and only Peanut Butter Towel Promotion card, 37 graded PSA 9, ten graded PSA 8, one PSA 7 (#43 Pronovost), and one PSA 5 (#14 Stanley). The Starter Set NHL hockey card is the only card needed to compete the series. For a complete breakdown of grades and population, please visit out website for a link to the PSA Set Registry.
