Offered is without question one of the rarest (I rarely use the "R" word) Topps display boxes extant. A full production display box from the immensely scarce 1968 Topps Test issue, All Star Plaks. The offered display box did not originate from our find of 1968 Topps Test All Star Plaks this past October in Pennsylvania but in fact was consigned after the hobbyist knew of our find. Most likely originally hailing from the Topps Vault the offered display box has been graded and authenticated by GAI where it received the grade of 9.5 GEM MINT. The black display box features six generic gold busts that are supposedly to represent the plaks themselves. as well as the wording All Star Baseball Plaks in a yellow and red motif. Topps soon realized that American kids would much rather purchase cards rather that small plastic statues and scrapped the Test issue, thus resulting in one of the scarcest issues of Topps reign. A exceptionally rare item offered in astounding condition.
