Although graded VG/EX 4 by PSA, the offered 1969 Topps Lew Alcindor rookie issue presents a perfect "10" signature of "Abdul Jabbar," Alcindor's adopted Muslim name, certified authentic by PSA/DNA. After winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 1970, Alcindor won his first of six NBA titles in 1971 en route to the NBA championship, also his first of six. The day after the 1971 season ended, he immediately adopted the Arabic name "Kareem Abdul Jabbar", which generally translates as "noble servant of the powerful one." By itself, "Abdul Jabbar," as autographed here, simple means "servant of the mighty one." VG/EX corners and EX/MT edges exclusively account for the grade, as the remainder of the card appears in at least NM condition, with no creases, stains, or paper loss.
