Prior to the "Steel Curtain" days of the 1970's, the Pittsburgh Steelers closed out the decade of the 1960s with a lowly 1-13 record, giving them the #1 overall pick in the 1970 NFL draft, which they used to take quarterback Terry Bradshaw and begin their rise to dominance. A member of that infamous '69 team, wide receiver Jon Henderson, donned this suspension helmet, a Riddell TK-2 size 6 3/4. The original and added reconditioned Riddell stickers inside the helmet confirm the year, with faded name "Henderson" written in faded ink on the crown pad. The number decals on the back have been removed but the outline is present. Consistent and obvious game wear is present inside and out. LOA from Lou Lampson/ Vintage Authentics, and Mile High Card Company.
