In 1978, the Fred Shero coached New York Rangers, a 3rd place team in the NHL Patrick Division, made a Cinderella run to the Stanley Cup finals behind the spectacular goaltending of John Davidson. Chants of “JD ! JD! JD!” rang out in Madison Square Garden as the Rangers came close but eventually fell to the Montreal Canadians. Up for grabs is this classic game-used fiberglass goalie’s mask, worn by Ranger netminder John Davidson during his tenure with the Rangers in the 1970s. Painted in red, white, and blue, and sporting the New York Rangers logo on each side, the helmet shows small of areas of chipped paint, no doubt from pucks to the face, with five snap-on belts that hold the backing in place (backing not included). LOA from Mile High Card Co.
