In order to steal a base, you first have to get on base, and Hall of Famer Lou Brock was exceptional at both. A member of the 3,000 hit club, Brock swiped 938 bases, surpassing the legendary Ty Cobb to become the all-time leader before Rickey Henderson took the crown years later. The featured jersey was worn by Brock during the 1976 season when he stole "only 56" bases at the age of 37. Inside the front tail is the Rawlings size 40 label and good game use is shown with moderate puckering and several stray stains on the front and back. The bicentennial patch has been removed and the outline can be seen on the sleeve. Brock has placed a very large blue marker autograph above the embroidered bat in the Cardinals logo. A great vintage gamer from a beloved Hall of Famer. LOA from Mile High Card Company and Sports Investors Authentication.
