Put into service by Hall of Famer John Elway in the earlier stages of his storied career, this size 7 1/4 - 7 3/4 Riddell M155 head protector features Broncos stripes down the center with Elway's "7" on the back. The striping is disengaged at the very back, a common occurrence with gamers that have seen extensive play. Excellent use is evident with scratches and paint transfers all along the outer shell. The inner padding is perfectly intact and the mask clips suggest a date of 1988, though the helmet may have seen earlier use with replacement clips added as needed.
