With a balanced offense led by Keith Hernandez, Lonnie Smith, Willie McGee and George Hendrick to support the stellar pitching of Joaquin Andujar, Bob Forsch and Bruce Sutter, the 1982 St. Louis Cardinals won the NL Eastern Division and knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers in a thrilling seven game World Series. Orlando Sanchez was a backup catcher on that squad, third in line behind Darrell Porter and Gene Tenace but nonetheless received a championship ring for his efforts. Presented is the 1982 St. Louis Cardinals World Championship ring that belonged to Orlando Sanchez. Stamped 10K inside, the Jostens piece weighs approximately 32 grams with CARDINALS WORLD CHAMPIONS surrounding one round brilliant cut diamond in the center. One side of the ring has "1982" with an image of the stadium and the World Championship trophy while the other side reads "SANCHEZ" and "23" surrounding the Cardinals logo. A well-preserved championship ring! LOA from Orlando Sanchez.
