Having just concluded a stellar 22-season career, slugger Ken Griffey Jr. is a mortal lock for first ballot Hall of Fame consideration and has certainly lived up to comparisons with the great Willie Mays. Griffey topped the 40 home run mark seven times, including five consecutive seasons, and ranks among the greatest of all-time with 630 home runs (#5), and 1,836 RBI (#14) , and he was a 13-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glove Award winner. With his game-used 2001 Cincinnati Reds jersey vest being offered to the general public, any contemporary jersey collector that doesn’t own a “Junior” Griffey has a chance! The front left tail has a Russell Athletic label, with size 46 and 2” Extra Length flags and a team stitched “Property of Cincinnati Reds 2001” tag. The “CINCINNATI” logo is tri-color tackle twill stitched while the numbers and “GRIFFEY” letters are two-color tackle twill stitched. The American Flag appears on the back collar, added after the events of Sept. 11th, and is single stitched over another patch, likely the MLB logo. LOA from Mile High Card Co.
