Considered to be one of the greatest Cuban outfielders in the first half of the 20th century, Alejandro Oms won the Cuban League batting title three times and the Most Valuable Player Award in 1928/29. His career .345 batting average ranks #2 all-time in the Cuban League. The following rarity comes from the 1926-27 Aguilitas series, a 900 card multi-subject set that features 100 athletes from baseball, soccer and boxing, all Cuban nationals. Other than two small holes on the surface of the card that force a minimal grade of SGC 10 POOR 1, the rare piece is in remarkably strong condition with corners that rate closer to the VG/EX level. A very pleasing example of a Cuban Hall of Famer.
