Framed to a size of approximately 24" x 15", presented is a complete uncut first sheet from the 1950 Bowman football series. Bowman made the production of the 1950 football set pretty straightforward, creating four sheets of 36 cards each, printed in number sequence. This first sheet carries #1-36, starting with the highly prized #1 Doak Walker card and including rookie cards of Y. A. Tittle, Lou Groza, Mac Speedie, Joe Perry, Frankie Albert, Tony Canadeo, Tank Younger and Glenn Davis in addition to Hall of Famers Steve Van Buren, Sid Luckman, Johnny Lujack, Bob Waterfield, Bulldog Turner and Bill Dudley. In overall outstanding condition with waters stains on cards #1-2 (Walker, Greene) and a crease and water stain on cards #5-7 (Tittle, Groza, Agase). Card # 9 Canadeo is clipped in the upper right corner. The reverse, like the front, has clear glass so the back of the cards are visible. A fantastic representation of one of Bowman's gridiron classic collections.
