Maybe it's not the savviest investment in 2019 since the company went the way of the dinosaur in 1962, but this group of seven stock certificates that claim a stake in the Goudey Gum Company sure does make for an interesting piece of history and a great addition for aficionados that collect all things baseball. Issued in the mid-1920s, just a few years before bringing mainstream baseball card production back to the forefront of American society, the documents are issued and signed by company founder Enos Goudey and treasurer Harold DeLong, who would go on to challenge Goudey with a namesake baseball card series of his own in 1933. The stock certificates aren't just made out to any random investors but to Enos Goudey himself and members of his immediate family.
