A fairly pedestrian rookie season in 1954 gave way to a record-setting 1955 performance as Al Kaline went on to win the American League batting crown, the youngest player to do so at just 20-years old. Topps' second issue of Al Kaline is one of the boldest representations in the series and really brings the heat with its vibrant red and blue contrast. Centered lightly toward the horizontal southwest but otherwise above-grade in most other respects. A fine specimen for an upper-level set!
