No, they sure don't make 'em like they used to, Lou. Offered in this fascinating and tremendously appealing lot for the gridiron guru is a lightly game-used Redskins jersey along with a heavily used Nike square-toed kicking shoe from 1982 MVP award winning placekicker, Mark Moseley, who remains the Redskins all-time scoring leader with 1,207 of his 1,382 career points coming in Washington, no doubt off the very same shoe offered in this lot. A tremendously popular player, Moseley kicked two field goals and all three PATs for 9 total points in Washington's 27-17 victory over the Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII and would lead the entire NFL in scoring with 161 points the following year in 1984. The jersey features standard fishnet mesh for the period, with a V-neck collar, cut-off sleeves and tail, and screen-printed numbers and lettering, but shows very little use, as expected. The shoe, on the other hand... er, foot... shows tremendous use, so much so that it wouldn't be unreasonable to imagine him kicking more than a few of his 1,382 career points with it, which make him the 22nd highest scoring player in NFL history.
