Offered is an outstanding assemblage of the famed 1952 Denver Bears minor league uniform that is commonly refered to as the "Strike Zone" uniform which was subsequently banned by the Western Association for use in league games. The Denver Bears were an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Class A Western League team was issued these experimental ensembles during the spring of 1952. With separate hues to mark the location of the strike zone, the uniforms were designed to aid pitchers in their quests for control. While these uniforms were available within the hobby after a small find of them several years ago they really seem to have dried up as they are not encountered very often anymore.
