There's no player that better represents the heart and determination of Cincinnati's "Big Red Machine" than all-time hits leader Peter Edward Rose. His hard-nosed play and will to win earned him the nickname "Charlie Hustle," and surrounded by a lineup of future Hall of Famers, guided the Cincinnati Reds to championships in 1975 and 1976. The offered Pete Rose gamer dates to the 1969-70 seasons, both significant in that Rose led the National League with a .348 batting average in 1969 and hits with 205 in 1970. This Louisville Slugger model S2 club is 36 inches in length and weighs 32.2 ounces, is uncracked and shows considerable game use with several ball stitch marks, cleat marks and green bat rack streaks. A light coat of pine tar is visible on the handle and the model number is stamped into the knob, written over in black marker with Rose's number "14." The excellent use and identifiable player characteristics have earned the bat a grade of GU 8 by PSA/DNA. LOA from John Taube - PSA/DNA.
