Offered is a signed check from Archibald Wright “Moonlight” Graham dated Dec. 20, 1963 drawn from The First National Bank of Chisholm, MN. “Moonlight” Graham was popularized in the book Shoeless Joe by W.P. Ray Kinsella and further by the movie Field Of Dreams. On May 23,1905 Graham was brought up to the New York Giants by John McGraw and on June 29,1905 he was sent in to play right field against the Brooklyn Superbas in the top of the eight inning. Graham was on deck in the bottom of the inning but the Giants made three outs and he never batted; it was “Moonlight” Graham’s only game in the Major Leagues. After his brief playing career Graham went to medical school and then became a doctor in Chisholm, eventually passing away in August of 1965. An exceptionally difficult check within the hobby supported by an LOA from Steve Grad and Zach Rullo PSA/DNA.
